I held a very good meeting with the Home Farm Primary School Council today where we discussed lots of local and national issues. Pupils understandably wanted to discuss Ukraine and asked many informed questions about the conflict.
It was then a pleasure to end my visit with a whole school assembly and Q&A.
School visits like these present me with an invaluable opportunity to speak to teachers and school staff about the opportunities and challenges facing them today. They also allow me to speak to the future generation of Colchester, their aspirations and dreams for the future, and what matters most to them about living in our special town.
