As previously explained, it is crucial for me as the Minister for Welfare Delivery to pop into the local Jobcentre in every area I visit to provide me with the vital opportunities to meet the Jobcentre teams on the front-line and learn how our policies are working and the areas which they think we need to improve. Through visiting a wide range of Jobcentres across the nation I am able to gain a well-rounded insight into the effectiveness of our policies on the ground.
Today I dropped into the Govan (Glasgow) DWP Jobcentre to meet the team and have a quick tour in between visits. I was really impressed with the open, welcoming environment and friendly staff, ready to help our claimants in Govan whenever they come through the doors.
